Uma Thurman ‘fighting’ to preserve her Hollywood career
April 30th, 2010 - 3:36 pm ICT by ANILondon, April 30 (ANI): Uma Thurman has admitted that she’s struggling to juggle her film career with being a mum.
The ‘Kill Bill’ star, who has two children from her former marriage to Ethan Hawke - daughter Maya, 11, and eight-year-old son Levon, has spoken out about how motherhood has affected her movie-making plans.
Thurman revealed that she almost quit acting to look after her kids - but vowed to keep ‘fighting’ to preserve her Hollywood career.
“I love and adore being a mother. It’s the greatest gift I’ve ever been given. Having children flips the game from being about you to about what you can create in a home and what your responsibilities are,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling Candis magazine.
“I’ve thought about quitting acting, but I love what I do so much - it’s the big conundrum of my life. So I’m fighting to keep my foot in the business, be creative and stimulated, and still take care of my children,” she added. (ANI)
