U2 would prefer to retire while still at topMarch 21st, 2009 - 5:05 pm ICT by ANI
London, March 21 (ANI): U2s drummer Larry Mullen Jr would prefer the band end their journey while they still reign the charts.
The 47-year-old, the co-founder of U2, which was originally known as “The Larry Mullen Band” at its inception, said it was inevitable that they go on forever and will have to stop at some point.
There will be a time when its like, Its time to go, the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
I would like that to be on a high when youre still achieving as opposed to the curve down. Thatll be sad for me. I think itll be a more dignified time to go.
We might come back in five years time and may do something together for old times sake because we know well want to. Thatll be a beautiful end to a long, beautiful career.
It cant go on for ever. It just cant, he added. (ANI)
