U2 to headline Glastonbury 2011?
June 7th, 2010 - 5:00 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 7 (ANI): Irish band U2 may headline the Glastonbury festival in 2011.
The band cancelled its performance at the festival after lead singer Bono was admitted to hospital in May for an emergency back surgery.
They will now be replaced by Damon Albarn’s virtual band Gorillaz at the Glastonbury festival.
But a spokesperson confirmed that U2 would be performing at the 2011 Glastonbury festival, reports The Daily Star.
“They’ve never played here before and we’re very disappointed they can’t perform but they could well be back next year,” the spokesperson told NME.com.
The Glastonbury festival will be held in Somerset from 23 June 2010. (ANI)
