u2 Barcelona, Aug 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Authorities in Spain have decided to place a fine of $22,000 on U2, the popular band from Ireland. The band was scheduled to start their tour dubbed “360” in the European country and was fined for noise pollution while rehearsing for their tour.

The authorities in the Catalan capital were very pissed off with the band’s refusal to adhere to rehearsal regulations in preparation of their tour in June last year.

The band’s representative said they had been fined for rehearsing until midnight instead of 10 pm as the regulations for concert rehearsal state. Another reason for their fine was also the unbearable noise levels they were producing during the rehearsals.

The Associated Press stated that the band led by Bono have been informed of their $22,000 fine. The band has already been punished in the past for their unbearable noise levels during their performances and the Dublin City Council took the same action against them for their concert last year at Croke Park.

Recently Shakira was also in the spotlight because apparently she had broken some of the rules while filming her video in Spain. She had danced in a public fountain and driven a motorcycle without wearing a helmet in the video. There were reports that she might be fined for both the actions.
