Aug 3(IBNS) The America’s Next Top Model host, Tyra Banks, is coming to Gossip Girl this fall on one episode of the programme’s upcoming third season.

Banks, as a guest star, will essay the role of Ursula Nyquist, a larger-than-life actress who Serena (played by Blake Lively) must control at the premiere of her latest movie.

The episode will air October 5 at 9 p.m. EST.

The former supermodel is not the only star who will be making her presence conspicuous at the Upper East Side.

Hilary Duff signed on for a multi-episode story arc — she’ll be playing a movie star who enrolls at NYU and rooms with Jessica Szohr’s character, Vanessa — earlier this month.

Little is known about the appearance by the Tyra Banks Show and America’s Next Top Model host at this time, but she is said to be putting on her acting shoes.

Banks becomes the latest high-profile guest star to be announced for the hit show.

Hilary Duff is also slated to appear on the hit teen drama this fall.

She first became famous as a model in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo and New York, but television appearances were her commercial breakthrough. Banks is the creator and host of the UPN/The CW reality television show America’s Next Top Model and is co-creator of True Beauty. She also hosts her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show.

In 2009 she was honored by Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) with the Excellence in Media Award.
