Tyra Banks Its official, the 13th cycle of America’s super model is on. Americas Next Top Model, which is run by former iconic model Tyra Banks, is now searching for models for its new cycle this season.

In the current super model search, the cycle is looking for women 5-foot-7 and under. The 13th cycle of Americas Next Super Model will follow the tracks of previous cycles. This precedes the hit reality series, which features Tyra Banks.

America’s Next Top Super Model offers women a chance to be a super model based on criteria and qualities among other demographics. In each series women of all types, shapes, sizes, and backgrounds are short-listed and then taken to a house where they all live together. Here they compete for a modeling contract. The potential models are subjected to physical and physiological tests to measure their abilities both socially and mentally. According to the guidelines set by the 13th cycle of America’s Next Model, the potential model must show her inner and outer beauty throughout the competition.

In the reality show, there are judges. This panel of judges evaluates these beauty attributes in the competition through catwalks, photo shoots, and publicity stunts. The panel of judges at America’s Next Top Model evaluates these skills each week wherein they decide on who to continue and who to leave the competition.

The Tri-State’s CW has collaborated with the CW network, Huntington Mall, and 100.5 WKEE Radio to host a casting call for Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model. Casting call will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Registration will begin promptly at 10 a.m. in the Macy’s Dome at the Huntington Mall.

Though the call has elicited some deep feelings from some interested women it was made official that “America’s Next Top Model” is looking for women 5-foot-7 and under for its 13th cycle. The truly profound is, according to Tyra Banks in a press release, “There have been top supermodels in the past that weren’t as the industry demands — like fashion icon Kate Moss, So we’re changing up ‘Top model’ for cycle 13 and making it a year for the shorter model!” Ideal “Top Model” height previously has been 5-foot-7.
