Oct 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated movie on Facebook, ‘The Social Network’ released this week and fans all over have been scrambling the web for the reviews and interviews of the stars. Interestingly, though the web is abuzz more with the real life characters who have been portrayed in the movie rather than the actors themselves. One such person is Tyler Winklevoss. Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss were one of the first people to have recognized the potential of Mark Zuckerberg and are presently involved in the lawsuit against the Facebook co-founder. Their role in the film is being played by the talented actor Armie Hammer in ‘The Social Network’ and both the brothers have been all praises for the film.
Tyler Winklevoss called ‘The Social Network’ a generational movie and felt it was exciting and flattering that people of such high caliber are telling their story. He said that it also felt very cool to have your story told in a film. He explained that there was no way that Mark Zuckerberg could be sitting in the Silicon Valley and think that all the Facebook success would have been possible without the Winklevoss twins and their business partner Divya Narendra. In the film, it is shown that Mark Zuckerberg betrays the Winklevoss twins and Eduardo Saverin with the help of Netscape businessman Sean Parker, played by pop icon Justin Timberlake.
Meanwhile, Tyler Winklevoss and his twin brother are also professional athletes who have competed in the 2008 Olympics. He said that the movie told the story of two betrayals- one, of him, his brother and Divya Narendra and the other of Mark Zuckerberg’s best friend Eduardo Saverin.
