Tyler Perry blasts Spike Lee
April 21st, 2011 - 6:52 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, April 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tyler Perry exploded during a press conference to promote his latest Madea movie “Madea’s Big Happy Family.” Tyler’s anger had to do with the mention of Spike Lee’s name at the press conference.
When Tyler was asked about what he thought about the criticism of his work by Lee, Tyler exploded and said Lee can “go straight to hell!” He told the reporters present at the press conference that they could write whatever he was saying. Tyler showed his frustration at Lee pointing out that Lee has attacked almost all the prominent black American figures in Hollywood.
Tyler seemed more content with the praise that he receives from his fans than the criticism. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Tyler said that he would rather concentrate on what makes those who enjoy his work happy rather than trying to make his critics happy. He revealed that he receives millions of emails in his inbox and Facebook page telling him how his works have been influencing the lives of people all over the world.
Tyler’s latest work is based on the play that he wrote for his mother when she died.
