‘Twilight’ director Chris Weitz to quit Hollywood
November 19th, 2009 - 2:01 pm ICT by IANS ( 1 comment )London, Nov 19 (IANS) Chris Weitz, director of the movie “The Twilight Saga New Moon”, says he will retire from Hollywood after making one more movie.
Weitz, who had also directed “About A Boy And The Golden Compass”, admits he has been put off filmmaking by the bureaucracy of big movie studios and he’d rather spend time relaxing and learning new skills, reported femalefirst.co.uk.
“Every time I make a movie I’m pretty much convinced it’s the last time I’m going to do it and that it’s a rather silly occupation to undertake. But I think I have maybe one more film in me,” he said.
Weitz is preparing to start work on new project titled “The Gardener”, inspired by classic Italian movie “The Bicycle Thief”.

I think he should spend every penny he has in making a sequel to Golden Compass. He should even get a first and second mortgage on everything he owns.
