Twilight author to release novella ‘The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner’
March 31st, 2010 - 1:28 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Mar 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Twilight author – Stephenie Mayer has come out with her new novella that is titled “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner”. The book is published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and it will be released on the 5th of June 2010. Reportedly the new novella is about Bree who is a newborn vampire, and who had also been featured in ‘Eclipse’. It ought to be mentioned that ‘Eclipse’ has been one of the best selling books of Stephenie’s vampire series, which has been a hit with the teenagers.
Stephenie Meyer released a statement on Tuesday in which she said that originally “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” had been thought to be a part of the “The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide.” But apparently the series became too long for “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” to fit into it.
The proceeds from the sale of the book would be donated to charity. The publisher said that $1 from the sale of each book which belongs to the first printing batch of 1.5 million copies, will be handed over to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. This is an organization that donates funds towards the relief efforts of natural calamities.
