Tupac Shakur’s collection to be displayed in Atlanta University Center

Washington, Sept 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fifteen years after his death, the first ever entire collection of Tupac Shakur has been announced by the Atlanta University Center. The center opened the collection in collaboration with the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation which is headed by the late singer’s mother.

Tupac was shot and killed in 1996 after watching a boxing match involving Mike Tyson. His death shocked many of his fans. On his way out of the fight, Tupac was captured on the security camera at the hotel fighting with a fan.

The singer started serving his prison sentence in February 1995 at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York after being convicted on rape charges in 1994. After serving some months, the CEO of Death Row Records, Marion “Suge” Knight secured a bail for the singer.

On the night that Tupac was killed, he was traveling with Knight. The music mogul remained the only witness to the singer’s death.

Eight albums of the singer have been released since his death. He is considered one of the greatest entertainers in history. He was also successful as an actor. He appeared in such movies like “Poetic Justice” with Janet Jackson; “Nothing But Trouble,” with Chevy Chase and Demi Moore and “Above the Rim.”

He is credited with changing the rap music.
