December 17, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The new film, ‘The Beaver’, of the 54-year-old Mel Gibson, is expected to be discharged in March 2011, as per the reports of the industry broadsheet, Daily Variety (DV). It was supposed that the release of ‘The Beaver’ had been deferred ad infinitum on account of the unpleasant and mortifying personal and public crises that have lately plagued Mel Gibson, the experienced actor of ‘Braveheart’.

The DV has asserted that the distributor of ‘The Beaver’, Summit Entertainment, has pronounced that the film will have a restricted American release on March 23 prior to disseminating to additional cinema houses on April 8. The promo for ‘The Beaver’ came into view on US TV earlier this month.

‘The Beaver’, reportedly, is a dark comedic movie, which has been directed by Gibson’s chum, Jodie Foster, who is also a participant in this film. In it, Gibson has enacted the character of a disheartened male, who employs a puppet to converse.

This new film of Gibson will be the primary one to be discharged in the theaters subsequent to the alleged infamous tirades of Gibson to his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, which were publicized in July. By then, the filming of ‘The Beaver’ was finished and it was obtaining some post-production touches.

Gibson, the actor of ‘Lethal Weapon’, has also been accused of perpetrating domestic violence against Grigorieva. He was accused of uttering anti-Jewish observations to a subordinate of the Los Angeles County Sheriff in 2006. He had abided by three years’ probation and taken part in ‘Alcoholics Anonymous’ colloquiums after pleading ‘no contest’ to the misbehavior of inebriated driving.

His record was purportedly crossed out in 2009.

Gibson, the director of ‘Passion Of The Christ’ has remained unspoken throughout the ruckus in his personal life, which has made him lose a cameo part in the forthcoming follow-up to the comedic, ‘The Hangover’, as a result of its cast’s protests. Gibson has also been abandoned by his long-time Hollywood talent office.

‘The Beaver’ has been prepared with $19 million, in keeping with the Internet Movie Database. ‘Edge of Darkness,’ which was Gibson’s preceding release in January, had been manufactured with $80 million and it engendered $81 million in international ticket sales.
