London, Sept 13 (ANI): Kerry Katona has locked herself in the attic in a desperate bid to get off the money and drug pressures baffling her, it has emerged.

Katona calls the dingy little room her “panic room.”

The News of the World quoted a pal as saying: “We’re very worried about what she’s doing holed up in there.”

The 29-year-old star is surrounded by troubles after her drug snorting video went public. Her financial status is also in doldrums after her bank told her that she wasn’t allowed to open a new account or re-mortgage her 1-million pound luxury mansion in Warrington, Cheshire.

The insider said: “Now she’s like a mad woman living in an attic…She is paranoid about anyone going in - even her kids. She won’t even let the nanny clean up or change the sheets. It’s getting filthy in there.

“There are overflowing ashtrays everywhere, empty bags of crisps and empty bottles of Lambrusco, Coca Cola and vodka. It stinks like a pub, it’s disgusting.

“When anything awful happened, Kerry used to lock herself in the bedroom she and Mark’s shared - but now that has too many bad memories.”

The source added that Kerry and Mark were staying separately within the same house and their marriage was also on the verge of breaking up.

The source said: “She wants to keep away from Mark as much as possible, says our source. “There’s just a bed and a bedside table in there.

“She’s been heard pacing up and down talking to herself. She calls the place her panic room.”

Katona is so troubled that she’s not even seeing her children, the source revealed.

“Kerry doesn’t want her kids to see her in this state. They want to go and see their mum, but she’s banned them from the room,” said the source. (ANI)
