London, July 15 (IANS) Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has hired lawyer Robert Shapiro to help avoid a jail-term given to her after the violation of a 2007 probation.
The “Mean Girls” star’s new lawyer had successfully defended footballer-turned-actor O.J. Simpson at his 1994 murder trial, reports contactmusic.com.
Shapiro will not appeal the actress’ upcoming 90-day prison sentence - instead he’ll urge Judge Marsha Revel to either eliminate or minimise jail by putting Lohan in rehab.
