Trisha Yearwood desperate for Broadway debutMarch 5th, 2009 - 6:24 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, Mar 05 (ANI): Country music singer Trisha Yearwood has revealed that she is keen to make a debut in the Broadway once her pop career slows down.
Although the Grammy-winning entertainer has enjoyed guest roles on American shows like Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and the Emmy-winning legal drama, JAG, she still gets goosebumps thinking of acting in a Broadway play.
Yearwood revealed that Broadway had been her lifelong ambition.
Theres a lot of things I still want to do. I really do just love to sing. But I like a lot of different kinds of music and I feel like Im at a place now where hopefully I can do some different things. I want to do an acoustic record. I want to do a standards record. I want to do Broadway… I like (acting). I like stepping out of my comfort zone, Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
Going to New York for a year right now is not an option, but it would be something Id like to do in the future, she added. (ANI)
