May 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Celine Dion has fought a long battle to have another child and finally news is that the 42 year old pop star is pregnant and is ready to give birth to twins. The Canadian singer had gone through a miscarriage less than a year ago and since then she has reportedly been undergoing treatment to conceive again. The singer has gone through in vitro fertilization for the sixth time and she has also attempted acupuncture in her attempt to become pregnant.

Though the singer herself was not available for comment, her husband cum manager Ren Anglil said in a statement to the media that the couple are very happy. Though there is apprehension, Celine Dion is hopeful that this time round she will be in good health throughout her pregnancy days. Ren Anglil added that since the couple were hoping for a single child, the fact that they are having two also means double happiness for the family. Celine Dion already has a 9 year old son named Ren-Charles who was also conceived through in-vitro fertilization. The singer is now over her miscarriage which took place last year, she is happily pregnant for fourteen weeks now, announced her husband on Sunday.

This is the sixth attempt on the part of the Grammy Award-winning singer and this time she has successfully undergone in-vitro and acupuncture treatments and the couple are now ecstatic with the result. Celine Dion is superstitious and had earlier said that she will not talk about her pregnancy until she is far ahead with it. Now that she is fourteen weeks down, the singer and her husband are eagerly waiting for their twins.
