May 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night’s ‘American Idol’ was exciting to watch and write about. Down to three contestants, the results show revealed to the world who the two finalists are going to be in next week’s show. After showing footage from the homecoming of Casey, one of the three contestants which were left, American Idol slipped in a surprise performance from a newcomer, Travis Garland. Today, many people are asking ,”Just who is he?”

Travis Garland came out on the stage with a crew of young people to perform his new single “Believe.” He is said to be a ‘good ol boy’ from Texas. This 20 year old singer has already began his musical career and is signed to Geffen, and managed by Jessica and Ashlee Simpson’s dad, Joe, and has such celebrities as Periz Hilton cheering him on. Travis was raised in a Texas church, and brought himself up in a mostly unknown boy band known as ‘NLT’ (Not Like Them). Kevin McHale, who plays the part of ‘Artie’ on the new hit show for ABC, ‘Glee’, is also a member of NLT.

As Travis was being introduced to the audience, Pariz Hilton sat wearing a Travis Garland T shirt and chatting with Ryan Seacrest about the newcomer. In her opinion, he has “a better voice than Justin Timberlake.”

After a performance by Justin Bieber and the footage of Crystal and Lee’s homecomings, the two new finalists were announced. This year’s ‘Idol’ finalists are Lee, and Crystal.
