New York, Feb 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has confirmed that Michael Bay will return for the next installment of the Transformers movie. Bay directed the first three movies under the franchise but his continual association was a subject of debate.

During a chat with MTV News, Bonaventura indicated that the production of the movie will start in the summer of 2014. He assured that Bay is eager to get back on the franchise and everyone is ready for the next installment of the movie.

He was quoted a as saying that, “Michael’s going to direct, and it’ll be in the summer of 2014. We’ll be releasing then.”

Bonaventura further revealed that there will be changes to the cast. Speaking about Transformer 4 cast and story, Bonaventura indicated that, “Again, it’s a hybrid because it’s a funny thing. I’m not involved with ‘Spider-Man,’ but what I perceive ‘Spider-Man’ to be is just a redoing of the whole thing. It’s not. It’s an evolution. There’s still continuity that’s going on, yet there will be a lot of new cast. Whether there’s anybody from the first cast, we don’t even know yet. The trust is it’s going to be a whole new story. The characters that would certainly come along are Optimus and Bumblebee, I’m sure.”

This is the first time that anybody associated with the franchise has come out with regards to the fate of Bay. The franchise is owned by Paramount and the first three sequels were highly successful.
