Toy Story 3 becomes UK’s second highest-grossing film of all time
September 8th, 2010 - 12:02 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sep 08 (ANI): The sci-fi blockbuster, Toy Story 3 has become UK’s second highest-grossing film of all time in its seventh week of release.
The third installment of the Disney Pixar franchise, which opened in the UK in July, has now taken 70,131,106 pounds at the box office, second only to James Cameron’s Avatar.
It overtook Mamma Mia! and Titanic’s box office hauls of 69.2m pounds and 69.02m pounds respectively at the weekend, reports the BBC.
But it still has a way to go before it catches up with Avatar, which has so far taken 93.4m pounds in the UK to date.
The blockbuster was re-released last month with an additional nine minutes of footage. (ANI)
