Washington, May 1 (ANI): Top Gun actress Kelly McGillis, who played Tom Cruise’s girlfriend in the hitmovie, has confessed she is a lesbian.

The 51-year-old, who has been divorced twice and has two daughters with her second hubby, on being questioned if she was on the look out for a man or a woman, revealed she was waiting for the right woman.

“Definitely a woman. I’m done with the man thing. You need to move on in life,” Fox News quoted her as telling the Internet show Girl Rock!

The star further said being gay had been “an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12.”

She added: “I had a lot of things happen that convinced me that God was punishing me because I was gay.”

McGillis was assaulted and raped in her pad in 1982 when she was a young actress in New York. (ANI)
