Los Angeles, Apr 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Another night and one more contestant’s wish to become the next American Idol comes to an end. Former Idol champ Ruben Studdard was present at the sets to meet up with the aspirants, entertaining everybody with his new single. Giving him company with their interesting performances were Usher and Diddy. The results: Lee DeWyze and Casey James are still safe. Aaron Kelly gets questioned but remains in the Top 9 slot. Siobhan Magnus, who was asked to stand, finally learned that he is safe. Michael Lynche and Crystal Bowersox, although subjected to the blabberings of the judges have made it to the top.

After waiting through a performance by Diddy Dirty Money, the names of Didi Benami, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban were announced in the bottom three. Didi Benami here was the one in danger, asked to sing to save herself. However, even with the crowd on her side, she fails to cut the mark.

Also, the “frenemies” who always bickering at each other, were found backstage as the best of friends. Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest were back on the stage again yesterday, entertaining everybody present. Judge Simon Cowell announced yesterday night that they would not save Didi Benami in spite of her performance being better than the night before’s. A weeping Didi Benami was thus sent home, brokenhearted.

Meanwhile, next Tuesday’s episode of American Idol will focus on songs by John Lennon and Paul MacCartney. The top 9 contestants will have to perform songs sung by the legendary singers of Beatles. The episode will also feature a guest performance by pop sensation Rihanna.
