Los Angeles, Nov 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tonya Chen who is the wife of best-selling author Ben Mezrich has been removed from a lifestyle show ‘Style Boston’. The producers are giving the reason that her performance wasn’t good, so she was given the sack, whereas she is saying that she was given the boot because of her pregnant belly.

“I have particular concerns about the fact that the producer’s attitude toward me changed dramatically on the heels of learning that I was pregnant,” Mezrich said in a statement. “Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback I have received in connection with the show, it appears that now I, too, have fallen prey to this all-too-common bias in this industry,” she said.

Terri Stanley created the show and she said that, giving Mezrich the sack was purely a business decision. Stanley instead claimed that the decision to sack Tonya was taken much before they were aware of her impending pregnancy. She claimed that Tonya’s performance wasn’t up to the mark, hence she was sacked.
