Tony Curtis passes away
September 30th, 2010 - 11:14 pm ICT by IANSNew York, Sep 30 (IANS) Veteran actor Tony Curtis, known for his role as a cross-dressing musician in the Marilyn Monroe-starrer “Some Like It Hot”, is dead. He was 85.His daughter and actress, Jamie Lee Curtis, confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight. She, however, did not reveal any details, reports people.com.
The actor was earlier admitted to a Las Vegas hospital for tests in July after he had trouble breathing.
Curtis, who also suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, nearly died when he contracted pneumonia in December 2006 and remained in coma for several days.
