Oct 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tony Bennett, who has won fifteen Grammy Awards, gave a very moving performance last night at the World Series in San Fransisco, California as he sang his acappella rendition of ‘God Bless America’ for the thousands of fans, who removed their caps and stood in respect.

The performance came during the seventh inning stretch of Game One of the World Series, between the San Fransisco Giants and the Texas Rangers. ( Giants won 11-7).

Although Bennett is 84 years old, he still has the lung strength of singers half his age. He was born during the Great Depression, and his love for his country was evident in his voice as he belted out the prayerful tune.
