Toni Braxton files for bankruptcy yet again
October 7th, 2010 - 11:28 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattThe 43 year old singer again has filed for bankruptcy. It may be recalled that earlier in 1998, Toni Braxton had filed for bankruptcy citing the debts of $3.9 millions.
This is the second time the R&B singer has filed such reports. However, this time debts claim to be between $10 to 50 millions. Soon after her bankruptcy all her household belongings were tagged and marked for sale to pay off her debts.
Her memorable and cherished awards were also marked for sale. Earlier in 1998 when her bankruptcy was highly publicized she said that the rough incident has taught her a lesson and now she will change her business strategies.However it doesn’t seem that she has learned her lesson well.
She also said that now she will take care of financial matter by herself and would not be taking opinions from others. However, we guess those business strategies also did not work in her favor. Or else she has not yet learnt her business lessons.
On her interview to Ebony Magazine in 2000 she claimed that now she is in control and carefully finalizes everything. Sources said that her expensive taste for jewelry was the culprit.
