Feb 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘HBO’ film which will air Sunday, Feb 12 featured two actors in their primes, Tommy Lee Jones, and Samuel L Jackson, as they tackled the major issues of life, such as “Why are we here? Is life worth living? Is there a God?” and many others.

According to Tommy Lee Jones, the questions which are raised by the playwright, Cormac McCarthy are often more interesting than their answers are. Staged in a dirty Harlem room, the film is said to give an accurate and respectful portrayal of the play by McCarthy, and makes it adamant for viewers to actually listen, since the only action is a discussion between the two men.

The two characters in the movie have simple yet telling names. Jones plays the part of “White” and Jackson plays the part of “Black.” Before the scene begins, White tries to kill himself by jumping on a train track, hoping that the Sunset Limited train would kill him. Black jumps onto those tracks, risking his life to save the stranger, White. Black, an ex con who has found God, brings White back to his apartment, and tried to help White, although White does not seem to want help. The discussion ensues from those events.
