Tommy Lee Jones Misses ‘The Company Men’ Screening

Tommy Lee JonesDec 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Veteran Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones skipped the screening of his latest movie ‘The Company Men’ recently because he was busy shooting for ‘Men In Black III’. The shooting was at Brooklyn whereas the screening of the new movie starring Ben Affleck and Kevin Costner was held at Asellina. In spite of missing the screening, Tommy Lee Jones managed to turn up at the after-party which was held at a restaurant in Gansevoort Park South.

Tommy Lee Jones was also in the news recently when he revealed to the media that in his youth he spent days working in an oil rig. He described the atmosphere of the rig as noisy, dirty and dangerous. ‘The Company Men’ is a an unemployment drama that has been written and directed by John Wells. The film was picked up by Weinstein Company after the Sundance Film Festival this year.

Before the arrival of Tommy Lee Jones in the after party, John Wells explained to the people that the stars were missing from the party because they were busy in some work or the other. He said that Kevin Costner was in Russia with his band and Maria Bello was busy doing an indie film. He also said that Chris Cooper was shooting for the Muppet film and was in fact busy dancing and singing. Ben Affleck, however, made it to the screening of the film after returning from Paris where he finished the shooting of ‘Tree of Life’. ‘The Company Men’ received rave reviews from those who attended the screening. The story deals with the struggles of three men who find themselves on the wrong side of corporate downsizing.
