London, March 9 (IANS) Angelina Jolie-starrer “Tomb Raider” is heading back to the big screen, but the actress is unlikely to star in it.
GK Films has acquired the rights to the hit video game starring Lara Croft from interactive entertainment company Square Enix, and plans to reboot the action-adventure franchise, reports contactmusic.com.
The two films, which grossed a total of $432 million at the worldwide box office starred Jolie as daredevil archaeologist Lara Croft.
“We are very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise and continuing the ‘Tomb Raider’ phenomenon,” said producer Graham King.
