The film producers are reportedly considering the Downtown Train singer, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday.

Daniel Radcliffe, Martin Freeman, James McAvoy have previously been considered for a role in the film adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic novel. (ANI)
