Tom Selleck Returns As A Cop On “Blue Bloods”

selleck1-200x300Sep 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The “Magnum, P.I.” actor Tom Selleck has again returned to prime-time television with the premiere of “Blue Bloods”, an American drama series. The “Blue Blood” episode 1 was aired on CBS and it was subtitled as “Pilot”. The interesting episode was written by Robin Green & Mitchell Burgess and the “Pilot” was directed by Michael Cuesta.

The network officials reported that Tom Selleck plays the role of Frank Reagan, a New York City Police Commissioner. Frank Reagan is maintaining the legacy of his family as he inherited the job from his father. His sons Henrie and Jamie are also with him in the force as police officers and his daughter Erin Reagan in serving in the district attorney’s office. The “Pilot” which aired on Friday kicked off with a bang and it saw an intense kidnapping case in the Hispanic Washington Heights section of the city and it gave the audience ample entertainment to chew on till the next week. The series officials reported that “Blue Bloods” is about the Reagans, who deals with the issues like police morality and at the same time, it focuses on Frank Reagan’s media image, who is an spectator of internal corruption.

Tom Selleck became a household name when he played the role of Thomas Magnum in the TV show “Magnum, P.I.”. He also played the role of “Jesse Stone” as a police in one of CBS movies based on the Robert B. Parker novels. The “Blue Bloods” premiere managed to pull in 12.81 million audience owing to its wonderful storyline and powerhouse star cast. The media outlets reported that “Blue Bloods” crushed NBC’s premiere of “Outlaw” which could manage to pull only 5 million audience, which is half of the former series.
