Tom Hanks to be honoured by peers in New York
March 20th, 2009 - 6:03 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Mar 20 (ANI): American actor Tom Hanks is to be honoured by his peers at a star-studded gala tribute in New York.
The double Oscar winner will be honoured at the 36th annual Film Society of Lincoln Centre gala by stars like Sally Field, Ron Howard, Mike Nichols and Julia Roberts, reports Contactmusic.
Hanks, 52, will be joining movie industry luminaries like Charlie Chaplin, Laurence Olivier, Federico Fellini, Elizabeth Taylor and Martin Scorsese, who have been previously honoured.
Actress Meryl Streep was the last star to receive the honour, and Hanks turn will take place at the Alice Tully Hall on April 27. (ANI)
