Tom Hanks Spends Big Bucks on Pacific Palisades Mansion

tom Los Angeles Feb 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what is being called the biggest real estate deal of the year, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have become the talk of the town after they purchased the huge former Pacific Palisades residence of producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy.

The home is 14,500 square feet, and was designed by the New York based Gwathmey Siegel and Associates. Built in 1996, the four bedroom, five bath home sold for over 26 million dollars. This gorgeous residence is located in the very prosperous Pacific Palisades area, where approximately 27,000 people reside. This community is surrounded by Santa Monica to the southeast, the Santa Monica Bay to the southwest, Brentwood to the east, and Malibu to the west. The homes located there include private mansions, smaller homes, condos, and apartment complexes. Many Hollywood celebrities have homes near by.

Tom Hanks, who is a very well known actor for his roles in movies such as “Forest Gump” and “Philadelphia”, both of which he won Oscars for, has been in 19 movies which have grossed upwards of 100 million dollars each. He and Tom Cruise are the only two actors in history which have had seven consecutive million dollar blockbusters.
