Tom FeltonJune 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ got a number of nominations, five in all, for the MTV Movie Awards that was held on June 6, 2010.

It got nominated for the category of the best film. Besides, Emma Watson got nominated for the category of the Best Female Performance, Daniel Radcliffe for the Best Male Performance and Best Global Superstar and Tom Felton got nominated for the category of the Best Villain. Out of all these, the only one who took away the prize was Tom Felton, for assaying the role of the shrewd and scheming Draco Malfoy at the MTV Movie Awards.

Tom Felton took away the award beating out stiff competition from really big names like Helena Bonham Carter, Stephen Lang, Ken Jeong and Christoph Waltz.

Needless to say, winning the award turned out to be a great honor for the 22-year-old British actor, for whom this would be the first major award. In fact, it was only in the sixth installation of the series that he actually got to reprise his role substantial, being a pivotal part of the plot of the sixth book.

Tom Felton appeared on stage looking rather different from what he has for so many years, ever since he burst onto the scene as the little Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone.

The long platinum blond hair was gone, replaced by a golden short crop. He explained the change in look by saying that he had just wrapped up the shoot for the final film in the series, ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.’

He went on to say that wrapping up the shoot finally was really painful for him.
