cruise-connor-bAccording to the reports of the Hollywood Reporter, superstar Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son is all set to feature in the remake of the 1984 classic “Red Dawn.” Since it is Tom Cruise’s son that we are talking about, expectations have started sky-rocketing already.

All of 14 and Connor Cruise is ready to set foot in to the entertainment world once more and create a niche for himself in the acting department. The HR reports that the young Cruise has already signed on the dotted lines in order to appear for the war drama, after the negotiations fell through.

One thing is for certain, nothing can go wrong about the film going down well with the American audience because the 1984 original still remains much beloved to all. The classic had helped simultaneously launch the professional film careers of the likes of Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Grey (of the “Dirty Dancing” fame). So, it can be hoped that the same wonders will be worked once more for the young Connor.

The heart wrenching story of “Red Dawn” is set in the cold war era and is about a group of school kids who set out to repel the advances of the Soviet invasion of their small town in Colorado, by adopting guerrilla warfare tactics. The kids adopt the name “Wolverines” for their group after their school’s soccer team. Connor is touted to essay the role of the youngest member of the guerrilla troop.

Connor Cruise had made debut in Hollywood with the last year’s movie “Seven Pounds,” that had Will Smith in the lead. Connor had played the young Will Smith in the movie.
