Tom Cruise celebrates his 49th birthday
July 5th, 2011 - 9:48 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattMiami, July 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Katie Holmes on Sunday threw a surprise birthday party for her husband Tom Cruise. It was Cruise’s 49th birthday celebration and the event took place in Miami.
The PEOPLE magazine said the party was held at the rooftop of SoHo Beach House. Cruise’s three children – 18-year-old Isabella, 16-year-old Connor and 5-year-old Suri – were joined by a host of others at the party. The guests were treated with Italian dishes and served with desserts made of chocolate birthday cake and others.
The magazine quoted a source as saying that the event was solely planned by Holmes. The source said Holmes took absolute control of the event including the RSVP. The magazine quoted the source as saying that, “Katie planned everything herself. She wanted to be sure everything was just right.”
Cruise is currently working on his latest project “Rock of Ages.” The film which is the adaptation of the musical with the same name is currently being filmed in Florida, Access Hollywood has reported.
“Rock of Ages” is expected to be released to the theaters on the 1st of June 2012. Cruise is one of the iconic figures in Hollywood appearing in several movies including the “Mission Impossible” sequel.
