Tollywood Filmmaker Pokiri Jagannath To Debut In Bollywood

August 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Renowned Tollywood filmmaker Puri Jagannath is going to debut in Bollywood with an action movie. The director is much known for his Telugu action movie Pokiri, which was remade in Hindi as Wanted with Salman Khan in the lead role.
Puri Jagannath has signed Telugu star Rana Dagubatti in the lead role of his debut Bollywood movie. Like Pokiri, this is also going to be a hardcore action film. For Rana, it is his second movie in Bollywood after debuting with Rohan Sippy’s yet to be released movie Dum Maro Dum, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu. The film is slated to be released in the first quarter of 2011.
Confirming the news Puri said that he would be directing a Hindi movie, which would also be made in Telugu. He also confirmed Rana to be the lead hero but the lead actress is yet to be decided. The director said that the movie would start shooting from the next month.
Telugu film producer Nallamalupu Bujji is reportedly producing this Bollywood debut movie of Puri.
Earlier, there was a buzz that Puri Jagannath will be directing Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, with this action flick going on floors by next month, that project could be the second film for Puri.
So, another super action like Wanted can be expected soon on the theaters!
