Today is the death anniversary of Harry Potter’s parents

Fans around the world are observing the moment where Lily and James Potter gave up their lives so that their newly born son Harry Potter could live. The married couple died 30 years ago when they stood up against He Who Must Not Be Named and died but that moment gave Harry Potter the chance to live.
On Monday, there were tweets like “It’s 3 decades since his mother’s sacrifice saved Harry and caused the downfall of Lord Voldemort. RIP James and Lily Potter,” and “Thirty years ago today Lily and James sacrificed their lives so that their son, Harry, could live. RIP James and Lily Potter.”
Harry Potter is one of the most successful franchises in the history of the entertainment world. The last installment of the franchise was released earlier this year and it has grossed more than $1 billion around the world in Box Office revenue.
On the day that the world will be celebrating scary things, Harry Potter movies will sure be part of the day.
