New York City, Dec 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) December 30th is the birthday of Matt Lauer. It is also the birthday of the ace golfer Tiger Woods and Meredith Vieira. Matt Lauer is the host of the NBC’s Today Show. Meredith herself is on vacation but she arranged a cute birthday gift for her co-host on the Today Show. She arranged that Matt’s father appear on the show to wish his son ‘Happy Birthday’.

It is quite co-incidental that both the hosts Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira, of the ‘Today Show’ share the same birthday. Since Meredith is on vacation, so she planned ahead for Matt’s birthday and made arrangements for his father Abe Vigoda, to appear on the show with a birthday cake. Even though she wasn’t physically present on the show, Meredith phoned Matt Lauer and wished him on his birthday.

Matt Lauer’s real name is Matthew Todd “Matt” Lauer. He was born on December 30, 1957. He is an American television journalist and is well known as the host of NBC’s The Today Show since 1997. Prior to this he was a news anchor in New York and a local talk-show host in Boston, Philadelphia, Providence and Richmond.
