Today is Mary J. Blige’s birthday

The My Life hitmaker turned 41 today (the 11th of January 2012). The celebration started early for the singer who was pictured on Tuesday night partying hard with producer Rico Love. The event was the birthday party of the super producer.
Considered one of the stars to have defined hip hop in the early years, Blige’s career can be described as a success. Her first album “What’s the 411?” was released in 1992 on the label of MCA Records. The singer moved on to enjoy massive hits over the years. She is one of the very few stars to have ten consecutive albums appear on the Billboard 200 chart.
Rolling Stone named Blige’s album “My Life,” as one of the greatest in history. The multiple award-winning singer is married to producer Martin Kendu Isaacs. The two got married on the 7th of December 2003. The event was attended by about 50 guests and it was held at her home in New Jersey.
Blige has sold more than 50 million albums. She has also sold more than 15 million singles to fans all over the world as of 2011.
