Dec. 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A documentary on the family of the deceased Michel Jackson aired on Dec 13 on A&E. The documentary, titled “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty”, traces the efforts of the iconic “Jackson 5″, the band that saw the rise of Michael Jackson, to reunite and get back on the stage. The band consisted off the five brothers of the Jackson family, and the documentary captures four of them attempting to make a comeback in the musical scenario of America.

The four brothers, Marlon Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and Jackie Jackson are seen in this new reality series as they try to bring the “Jackson 5″ back on the stage. Unfortunately for them, the most iconic member of the band faces a sudden and untimely death, something that upsets a lot of the pre-planned programs. Besides assaying to get the band back on the stage, the purpose of the Jackson brothers is also to present to the viewers the real family of Michael Jackson, and to dispel the myths and rumors that have surrounded the cult family for decades. It remains to be seen how the audience reacts to the series that will be aired in six episodes.

The plate seems to be full for the four Jackson brothers this season. Just before this, it had been announced that they would be embarking on a world tour, albeit with a new name, understandably, the “Jackson 4.” The tour would serve the double purpose of paying homage to the deceased sibling, and also a comeback of sorts for the band that had been extremely popular in the 1970s, before Michael Jackson outshone the others with his solo acts.
