Los Angeles, May 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tim McGraw has been sued by Curb Records for breach of contract. The suit was filed at the Davidson County Chancery Court on Friday.

In the suit, the record label is claiming unspecified amount in damages for the breach of the contract they have with McGraw. The suit claims that Curb has a contract with McGraw that specifies that the singer has specific period within which to deliver new albums. However that wasn’t the case with the album “Emotional Traffic,” the suit alleges. Curb revealed that under its agreement with McGraw, the singer is expected to deliver new works to the record label not later than 18 months and not less than 12 months after the release of the previous album. The suit says the work for the “Emotional Traffic” was released earlier than specified in the contract.

A rep of McGraw said the battle line has been drawn. In a statement which was given to Billboard, the rep said Curb has jeopardized any relationship with the suit. Curb and McGraw have been together since 1993. However McGraw has in recent times expressed his frustrations on his relationship with Curb.

The attorney of McGraw said they are ready to meet Curb in court.
