images13Dec 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Friday, thousands of music lovers had problems in purchasing tickets for the upcoming Elton John concert slated for February at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon. The situation worsened as enraged buyers started fuming after they could not avail tickets but being charged on their credit cards. People who had waited in the queue from as early as 4 in the morning were refused tickets when they turn came up.

According to sources, people who had waited for long in the queue were denied tickets saying that all tickets were sold except for few which were behind the stage and were charged $29. There is some speculation that many seats have already been reserved, although nothing is confirmed as of yet. It does not come as a surprise that the people were left rather disappointed as the hopes of the ardent Elton John to catch a glimpse of their favorite singing star were crushed. However, an insider has said that the problem was related to a fault in the ticketing system which led to the fiasco. Music-lovers who had come to get the tickets were fed up with the way the officials were handling the matter.

Online buyers too faced the same problem. They claimed that they were repeatedly getting messages claiming that the order could not be completed but at the same time the bill amount in the credit took a toll. Sources say that the only people who did not have issues in buying the tickets were the University of Oregon donors who received an e-mail on Wednesday night giving them a purchasable code. This took place a day ago before the sales of the tickets were offered to the general public.
