ThunderCats on Cartoon Network in a new avatar

New York, July 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is some very good news for all ThunderCat fans. As a new successor to the good old cartoon is all set to premiere today at 8 pm on the Cartoon Network. The new installment of the lovely series is set in the modern times but all the same it has an old world charm and feel to it.

Producer Michael Jelenic has certainly done a praise-worthy job this time around and people are surely going to get goose bumps when they watch the new series, as they would remember with affection the old plots and the lovely characters.

ThunderCats series falls in the science fiction, fantasy, action and adventure genre. It was originally created by Rankin/Bass and Ted Wolf. Later it was developed into a more thicker story line and with more twists and turns in its plot by Leonard Starr. The original series was directed by Katsuhito Akiyama, Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass.

The voiceovers have been ably done by Earl Hammond, Earle Hyman, Larry Kenney, Lynne Lipton, Bob McFadden, Peter Newman, Doug Preis and Gerrianne Raphael.

The original series had also been translated in numerous languages and subsequently telecast all over the world.
