Three high-end Turkish fashion brands to enter India by October
August 17th, 2010 - 10:00 pm ICT by Sampurn WireAugust 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): This October, India is going to welcome three high-end Turkish fashion brands, Tween, Damat and ADV from the Turkish Orka Group, which will expand luxury spaces in India.
The Orka Group is joined by the Blues Clothing Company (BCC) of Delhi as a franchisee to launch the above mentioned three apparel and accessory brands in India. There are around 400 sales units of the group available in about 35 countries throughout the world.
Abhay Gupta, the executive director of BCC said that it will open multi-brand and standalone stores in India for these brands. The leading Italian brands like Gianni Versace, Versace Collection, VJC, Cadini and Corneliani are the sold under the BCC, which is an exclusive franchisee of all these brands. The company will also launch menswear range from the three Turkish brands, which will be in the price range of Rs 5,000-20,000.
According to industry observers, the economic condition of India is now very favorable for the business of international high-end brands. BCC is also planning to increase the number of units for the brands, which it retails in the country. It is planning to set 25 more stores, which will include both standalone and multi-brand stores by October, informed Gupta.
The Turkish group will invest Rs. 500 million through debt and internal accruals for this new venture.
The new units of Cadini, Versace and Corneliani will be opened under this expansion plan, which will be in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
