chris_hemsworth_thorJuly 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is quite commonplace to see blockbuster Hollywood movies being adapted by console game makers and vice versa. However, not all of these endeavors succeed at the end. A few franchises like the Resident Evil have succeeded while the latest Prince of Persia film turned out to be a dumb squib at the box office. The Prince of Persia games are however bestsellers as everyone knows. The newly released images of the upcoming movie Thor are doing the rounds on the web already. While the viewers are going gaga over the smoking hot images of actor Chris Hemsworth, the gamers are also gearing up for playing the game that is being made on the movie.

Sega has said that it is making a game based on the movie. Before Disney succeeded in acquiring Marvel entertainment, Sega grabbed the licenses to make games based on Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk. However the Hulk and Iron Man games have not exactly set the market on fire so it remains to be seen how the console game Thor fares.

As per the available information, the game will be made available for consoles like Nintendo DS, PlayStation, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Wii. Sega is determined to make the game a hit among the console owners. The versions made for PS3 and Xbox 360 are supposed to have more eye candy and effects. The PSP and Wii versions on the other hand will have a toned down essentially 2D graphics. It is not known if the stars of the movie Thor will lend their respective voices for the upcoming game or not.
