Thomas Keller Appears As Guest Judge On Top Chef

Nov. 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The five contestant or rather chef’testants, of Top Chef [who are left on the show to contend for winning the title of the "Top Chef"] had to cook for Thomas Keller, for the elimination round, that was held on Wednesday. If you are hooked to the show like everyone else, then you are probably searching right now for the guest judge, Thomas Keller.
Thomas Keller, is one of the renowned chefs known specially for his “innovative but complex dishes”. His newest addition to his line of eateries is his ‘Bouchon Bistro’ at Beverly Hills. This is his “official third outpost”, which was inaugurated on Wednesday itself. The inaugural party saw many celebrities, drinking champagne and tasting the various food on display in the “palatial dining room”. The real party, was however, in the kitchen, where the chef had lots of bouchons along with pastry pyramids. Keller, who is basically a native of CA, calls his new bistro his return to LA.
Keller’s other restaurants include the ‘French Laundry’ in Yountville, Calife and the New York based ‘Per SE’. The casual places operated by Keller’s group includes, the Yountville based Ad Hoc and ‘Bouchon’ in Yountville, New York and now in LA. The chef has also written several books, his latest being ‘Ad Hoc at Home’, which was inspired by the casual place Ad Hoc itself. His other writings include, Under Pressure, Bouchon, The French Laundry Cookbook.
The 54-year-old chef has also earned innumerable awards including the ‘Best American Chef: California in 1996, Outstanding Chef: America in 1997, Chef Of the Year given by Bon Appetit Magazine in 1998.
