This Friday its PERFECT MISMATCH for LUCK
July 23rd, 2009 - 1:30 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
Cine-goers in India eagerly wait for Friday to ease their troubles, and witness the larger than life picture in Indian films. However, if we go down the memory lane of recent releases one can easily see the dreary picture of disappointments at the box-office collections. New York certainly came like an oasis in the vast desert, but with the highly anticipated releases like Kambakkht Ishq, Shortkut-The Con is on, Sankat City and Morning Walk, one yet again saw a dismal situation as far as the business and entertainment quotient is concerned. Nevertheless, without losing hope, let’s give a glimpse to the forthcoming venture slated to release this week on Friday.
Luck- Luck definitely boasts of a good multi-star cast. Alas! If star cast alone could work magic at the box-office, then this Sanjay Dutt and Imraan Khan starrer will be saved from being added to the long list of flops of this year. So, the fact remains- will the overall product click at the box-office? Well, this film surely has a good chance in the midst of another film like Perfect Mismatch releasing this Friday, which is as good as no competition. Thanks to the lack of promotions.
And what adds in the favor of super lucky LUCK, is the debacle of films released last week. However, Luck if clicks with the viewers might rule the roost this week, but has a huge competition waiting ahead with Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Perfect Mismatch- This film comes with a surprise of something ultra-unusual. Yes, debutant Anubhav Anand backing no Godfather in the industry steps in Bollywood with 3 tags- actor, producer and scriptwriter. However, this is not enough to make fortune work at the giant box-office. Due to low budget, Perfect Mismatch missed the opportunity to market itself in the minds of fans. Nevertheless, every film comes with a fortune and who knows, word of mouth publicity becomes a magic wand for this film. As of now, the perfect match of this PERFECT MISMATCH would be a good review and word of mouth publicity to survive out there.
