Theron’s charity builds football fields in Africa ahead of World Cup
November 27th, 2009 - 4:16 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 27 (ANI): South African actress Charlize Theron has revealed that her charity is raising cash to build football fields all over Africa in honour of the 2010 World Cup.
Theron, 34, is very excited about the event, and her Africa Outreach charity wants to build the football fields so rural kids will have a chance of being a part of it.
“I love soccer and it’s great for Africa that we’re finally hosting it (World Cup). We’re so proud,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
“I started a program about two years ago that’s become very integrated and, in honour of the World Cup, we’re building soccer fields in very rural communities, where African children have no access to play this sport,” she added. (ANI)
