London, Dec 14 (ANI): Film experts have voted Oscar nominated flick ‘There Will Be Blood’ as the ‘Greatest Movie Of The Decade’.

The 2007 period drama, the story of a silver-miner-turned-oil hunter’s brutal quest for wealth during the southern California oil boom, was selected by film experts from Total Film magazine.

Even though the movie missed out the Oscar for the best film, Daniel Day Lewis won the best actor Academy Award for the lead role.

‘The Dark Knight’ was given the honour of the ‘Blockbuster Of The Decade’ and 2001 psychological thriller Donnie Darko was picked as ‘cult of the decade’.

“The Total Film selections were designed to identify the films that have most shaped the landscape of modern mainstream cinema,” the Mirror quoted Jamie Graham, Total Film’s deputy editor, as saying.

“But we also felt it was important to reward the ‘best’ film of the decade, and this category saw Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood pip the likes of No Country For Old Men, Mulholland Drive, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Memento to the top spot,” Graham added. (ANI)
