yungFeb 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Ying Yang Twins group who debuted in 2000 and rose to fame in 2003 after collaborating with Lil Jon in his single “Get Low,” were happy about the Saints victory. The band celebrated in a grand way the Saints victory in Super Bowl 2010. The band’s 2004 song “Halftime (Stand Up and Get Crunk)” had become an anthem for the New Orleans Saints. On Sunday night, the crunk rock duo performed in Metropolitan Nightclub. When asked about their relation with the New Orleans Saints, Kaine (De’Angelo Holmes) replied that the city had a lot of influence in their music. They even provided inspiration for one of their earliest singles titled “Whistle While You Twurk.”

Kaine (De’Angelo Holmes) added they always have love for New Orleans. He said though lots of people are not aware that the term “twurk” came from New Orleans. He said “..so it was kinda a hen and the chicken situation.” Their music was exposed to the audience through the NFL and Saints games. Kaine (De’Angelo Holmes) said not only their band highly supports Saints, they also love the city. According to reports, the Atlanta based crunk rock duo really enjoy the food of the city and they keep coming again and again to taste some new dishes. He further added they will always love the city who love their music.

The band will always be remembered by New Orleans Saints for their single, “Black & Gold (Who Dat!!!).” The catch phrase “Who Dat” became the anthem for the team. Perhaps “The Ying Yang Twins’ “Halftime (Stand Up & Get Crunk)” has become even hotter.
